ABOUT ROTT3N R3CORDINGS

As a semi-professional drummer in the local rock/metal/thrash/death scene, as well as a Graphic Designer and an IT geek, I set out on a goal to learn how to record, mix, and publish music to expand my role in the local music community. In 2009, I framed out the basement walls into a workable recording drum room -- later expanding that room into a workable control room as well (with better acoustic treatment). It's still rott3n, but not near what is was in 2009!

The initial plunge into recording music started with the band, Cynonyte (2010), using nothing more than a Windows XP computer, Sony Acid Pro 6.0, and a MAYA1010 interface. It really wasn't that good! But lessons were learned and I moved on to record Eugenic Death's debut album, Crimes Against Humanity in 2012. After releasing more material with other bands over the next 10 years and learning and attending various online communities, I decided to open up my home to the general public in 2020.
THE COVID YEARS: With live playing pretty much put on hiatus, the passion to produce music was rejuvenated and the home studio was aggressively updated to cater to the demands that modern music production requires. Better accoustic treatment, better software, better plugins, etc. If there was any reason to invest into myself, COVID awarded me that reason.
I am currently a registered student attending the Professional Production Studio (PPS) program, led by Jordan Valeriote as well as a student attending Bobbty Torres' Frighbox Recording Academy. I am also the full-time drummer for the bands Audio Assault and Konstrukt.
